Living Room

Comfy chairs around the fireplace. Views across the grass field out the front from the window seat. TV, telephone and wifi router. We've put in a wood burning stove for those dark winter evenings and wet summer days. You can get logs from Wheelwrights or the milkman.

On the walls there are three large prints of photos we've taken of local scenes - harebells in an SSSI wild flower meadow in Little Langdale, Slater's Bridge and the fabulous stone walls of Wastdale - and a couple of prints of paintings by William Heaton Cooper, whose family still run a gallery in Grasmere which he set up in the 1930s selling his original paintings and prints as well as those of some of his descendants. (We also have a print of a painting by one of his grandchildren in the kitchen.)

We did have various things from the Herdy shop in Grasmere but sadly someone's nicked them so you'll have to buy your own!
